Tilt and shift

What is tilt and shift?
Tilt and Shift photography is a technique that can be created on Photoshop or you can purchase lenses that are called ‘Tilt-Shift Lens’. My interpretation of this particular technique is basically taking a photograph and blurring out the majority of the image.
A Tilt-Shift lens is something that will allow you too move the body of the lens in time to the cameras image sensor.
This technique works by creating a shallow depth of field but this is not technically a shallow depth of field it is to do with how you tilt the lens. Tilting the lens allows you to increase or decrease the amount of image that actually focuses.

I have researched a photographer who hired a helicopter to fly around Birmingham so he could use a tilt-shift lens. People who use Tilt-Shift mostly use this technique for architecture.
