During the Mini workshop that I completed today whilst taking my photographs of flowers/leaves I really thought about my aperture settings, I set this low due to wanting my background to be out of focus and my subject in focus. Composition was a massive thing that I thought about as well because photographing at different angles and distances can change your image completely.
Here is a series of images that I created today from the workshop, I used Camera RAW, Photoshop and Silver Efex pro 2.
Firstly I could improve this series by choosing two other flower images to add to the bottom left and the bottom right to make this look semetrical. This workshop has really made me realise that you should always think about everything carefully and a series is not a series if they do not work together.
I really enjoyed this work shop and I believe that this will make me a better photographer in the long run, I have a few beautiful shots from today but all I can do now is improve.

Hayley, great blog post! i'm glad you enjoyed the session and learnt something new. I agree with your comment and feel that if you had more time a varied range of flora would improve this series and maybe filling the frame. however the use of shallow depth of field is excellent
