Live on Location - Lily-may

Location photography is where you take your subject with you to different locations to photograph.
As a student throughout my Photography journey I have always avoided location photography due to being able to work well in a controlled light studio set up.
Photographing on Location is mainly about picking the perfect scenery and getting the correct light.

Once I looked through the brief I kind of had ideas of what I wanted to pursue for this project but I was not sure how to overcome it.

First Shoot:

Below are retouched images which I took at Sutton park of Lily-may. I am actually really proud of what I have achieved here due to the fact me and location don't always go to plan.

I adore how soft and pastelised the images are and how I how natural Lily is being.

Some ideas generated from here

Live on Location - Ella Mai

Ella-mai:

This photoshoot which took place at The forest of Arden Marriott hotel was nothing more than a success in my eyes!
I added an extra challenge to my self and that was to do a shoot at 6pm on the evening to practice my lighting skills.

I love some of the reflections that I have gained from some images (sunsets through the windows) I thought that it worked really well.

Live on Location - Whitley Court

On the 6th of June 2016 I went to Witley Court in Worcester. As soon as we arrived to the grounds and I saw the surroundings I was amazed! Before I went to Witley Court I was given a client brief to work from for the English Heritage.  The client brief "English heritage" stated that the audience for the photographs were to stand out to 20-30yr olds. After I looked through the brief carefully, I brainstormed different ideas.
As I wanted a challenge I decided to step away from portraiture for this shoot and head into the nature/architecture section so that I could practice with different camera lenses, different settings and not know what I was going to gain at the end of it.
After the shoot I was not very pleased with the majority of the images I had taken due to them being very basic and to be honest I felt that they never related to the client brief and the audience I had set.  Some images I had taken were beautiful but they never met the client brief due to them not being as creative and exciting as the client wanted.
